Why Jedox is a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Financial Planning Software

Jedox has been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Financial Planning Software – the third consecutive year the platform has held that position. For finance leaders across the UK and Ireland weighing up FP&A platforms, it’s a useful, independent data point – and one we think deserves more attention than it currently gets in this market.

2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Financial Planning Software

What the Gartner Magic Quadrant actually evaluates

The Magic Quadrant is Gartner’s analyst-led evaluation of vendors in a defined market, published annually. For the 2025 Financial Planning Software report – authored by Gartner analysts Regina Crowder, Sid Sahoo and Mike Lashinsky, and published 1 December 2025 – vendors are assessed on two dimensions: completeness of vision (how well a vendor understands where the market is heading, and how its roadmap responds to that) and ability to execute (product quality, pricing, customer experience and overall commercial performance).

A Leader for the third year running

This is Jedox’s third consecutive year in the Leaders quadrant, and the 2025 report highlights several specific strengths. Gartner points to Jedox’s native AI capability through JedoxAI, which combines generative AI and large language models with Jedox’s in-memory planning engine to produce explainable, contextual financial insights and automate report narratives. The report also notes that Jedox’s AI and machine learning investment has roughly tripled between 2023 and 2025, and calls out a structured approach to GenAI governance – including instance-specific model tuning and strict data isolation – that keeps customer data separated rather than pooled across a shared model.

Gartner also singles out Jedox’s ability to support complex forecasting scenarios – sales and demand forecasting, product and store profitability, inventory management – reflecting a strong base of retail and multi-entity customers. Separately, third-party analysis of the 2025 report has noted Jedox’s Excel-style modelling and prebuilt templates as a practical differentiator for organisations moving up from spreadsheets, and its fit across mid-market as well as enterprise deployments.

None of that replaces user feedback, which is why we’d also point finance teams to the BARC 2026 FP&A software survey, where Jedox was separately named a market leader based on direct feedback from the people who actually use these platforms day to day. Between the two, you get an analyst view and a user view – which is a more complete picture than either on its own.

Why this matters for finance teams in the UK and Ireland

Most UK and Ireland finance teams evaluating FP&A software don’t have a Gartner subscription sitting on their desk, and the analyst commentary on individual vendors typically isn’t public. That makes it easy for a shortlist to be shaped by whichever vendor’s sales team shouts loudest, rather than by independent evidence. A validated, repeatable placement like this one is a useful sanity check when you’re building a business case internally – it’s evidence you can put in front of a finance director or a board that didn’t come from a vendor’s own marketing.

It’s also a reason we think Jedox deserves more visibility in this region specifically. Awareness of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Financial Planning Software is strong in the US, where several of the other Leaders are headquartered, but noticeably thinner among UK and Ireland finance teams – even though the same evaluation applies here. Part of what we do at Kybos is close that gap: making sure finance leaders in this market have access to the same independent research that shapes buying decisions everywhere else.

Analyst recognition still has to be delivered on

A Magic Quadrant placement describes the platform, not the implementation. Whether that recognition translates into a project that actually lands – on time, adopted by the finance team, and delivering the reporting and forecasting improvements it promises – comes down to the partner doing the implementation. That’s the part Gartner isn’t rating.

As the UK & Ireland’s only dedicated Jedox Platinum partner, this is where Kybos sits. Our consultants are accountancy qualified, which means we’re translating Jedox’s capability into the reporting structures, month-end processes and board packs finance teams actually use – not just switching features on. If you want to see what that looks like in practice, our client success stories cover real UK and Ireland implementations, and you’re welcome to arrange a live demonstration or schedule a call to talk through your own requirements.
